One of the goals in creating a new version of Roketz is to push the visuals and environment beyond what existed in the Amiga and PC version. This video is an early test render of the water system that will be put inside several of the new Roketz levels.

The implementation has only a few effects associated with it, one of the most obvious to the eye is a bloom, and scrolling specular and normal textures. Its quite cheap even on low end hardware. The difficulty will be in making it more dynamic as in, water flowing down walls and in to pools and having it react to damage from exploding Roketz.
